Few winged sprint car drivers from the state of Michigan have made as many trips to victory lane as Ken Mackey. The Michigan Motorsports Hall of Fame inductee drove to his 180th career feature win on Saturday, topping the field at Butler (Mi.) Speedway.

Other feature winners were Marc Kurth (UMP Modifieds), Marty French (sportsman), and Brandon Hyliard (street stocks).

Mackey Wins

Nic Rogers and Troy Vaccaro made up the front row for the 25-lap winged sprint feature, with Mackey outside of the second row. Vaccaro shot into the lead at the outset and held the point until slipping high off turn 2 on the seventh circuit and bringing out a caution flag. Rogers took over at the front, but Mackey went by on the restart and led the rest of the way. SOD regular Gregg Dalman started in the second row and followed Mackey much of the race, and would hold second at the checker. Mark Aldrich was third, with Andy Shammo fourth and Nathan Bevard fifth. The rest of the top 10 were defending track champion Mark Broughman, Vaccaro, Chad Blonde, Shelby Bilton, and Louie Carufel. Sprint car heat races were won by Mackey, Vaccaro, and Gerry Hart. The 'B' Main went to Steve Irwin.

Kurth took his third Butler feature win of the season and 15th overall. Josh Lolmaugh and Kevan Free made up the front row for the mod feature, with Free jumping into the lead and holding it until past the midway point, when Kurth went by. Kurth started seventh, made his way to second on a lap 6 restart, and had to battle several laps with Free to gain the point, eventually ducking under on the backstretch on lap 12. Mike Tarlton made a dash at the end and finished second. Chance Hoppes was third, with Free fourth and Josh Lolmaugh taking fifth. Sixth through 10th were Chad Mauer, Ryan Cripe, Steve Shellenberger, Jeff Reay, and Greg Socha. Modified heat races were won by Kurth, Lolmaugh, and Tarlton. Jarrett Rendel was the 'B' Main winner.

It was the first sportsman feature win for French this season. Mike Langdon started outside the front row and led the opening two laps. It began to rain, forcing a caution on the speedway. The rains let up enough to continue, and when the green flag waved again, French went under for the lead. Points leader Logan Beckwith made a late-race charge and finished second. Glenn Heath was third, with Steve Langdon fourth and Jessi Sroufe fifth. Completing the top 10 were Cameron Hoaglin, Wes Bates, Josh Frye, Ryan Martin, and Gerry Signor. Sportsman heat races were won by French, Beckwith, and Jake Rendel. The 'B' Main was won by Matt Bell.

Hyliard collected his second street stock feature of the season, and second of his career. Todd Smith started outside of the front row for the feature and led the opening five laps before falling out with mechanical woes. Todd Thoms, a four-time winner this season, then took over the point, but also encountered problems. Furth-starting Hyliard then took over and led the remainder of the way. Bob Rendel was second, with Jon Smith third, Daren Slone fourth and Jeff Beaty fifth. The rest of the top 10 were Sheryll Dishaw, Jim Gokee, Elzie Kipp, Randy Nichols, Jr., and Todd Thoms. Street stock heat races were won by Beaty, Derek LaPratt, and Todd Smith. The 'B' Main was won by Randy Nichols, Jr.
