The Modified class continues to bring out more cars each week as word spreads that Butler is offering this new class. Drivers from across the Midwest region are all piling in to stake their claim at the fast 3/8 th’s high-banked oval. Twenty-four Modifieds filled the field and the three heat races were won by Mike Tarlton No. 17T, Tommy Beezley II No. 69, and Zeke Mckenzie No. 24. The B feature went to Jeff Reay No.12 . The A main was won by Beezley after numerous lead changes , engines not firing after cautions, spins outs by leaders and numerous other problems which allowed Beezley to take advantage of other drivers misfortunes and take the flag. The Street Stock division packed the field with twenty-nine cars showing up for the night. The heats went to Bob Rendel No. 006, Cody Ormiston No. 48, and Ron McCumbers No. 13. The B main was won by Elston Flemmings Jr. No. 83. As the A main started we would see a mix of lead changes again, it looked as Rendel would take home the win, until McCumbers got him on the re-start and nailed it to the floor sending dust flying and the No. 13 back to the winners circle. Butler Speedway continues to offer an exciting venue of dirt track racing. Butler runs the 5-1 show each week, however has added many specials to the schedule by fan request. Next week we will see fans pack the stands and pits as it is Butlers famous Autograph night. Butler drivers will be on fan patrol looking to take photos and sign autographs for all the dedicated fans that support them each week. A new announcement for the track is the week of June 13th Ohio vs. Michigan mTs inc. Sprint Series will be bringing the Wingless Sprints cars to the track. This special show will run along with the Sportsmen division, and the Modifieds. The Midget sprints will be visiting the track later in the schedule as well. Butler track owners continue to take requests and appreciate suggestions to the Butler Speedway web page for further ideas.
