After almost 30 years of Saturday night racing, economic realities have forced the Mottville, Mi Speedway to switch to Sunday afernoons starting April 25.
Gates will open at 4pm each Sunday with racing at 5pm.
There will not be races on May 9-(Mother's Day) and May 23.
Other than those two dates it will be full steam ahead on Sundays through September!
We know that running on Sundays it is critical that we start at 5pm! So please try to be on time!
We will have Saturday races on June 19 and August 7 when some 60th anniversary specials are planned.
Saturday, September 25 we will race and then every Saturday in October.
Saturday, April 17 was cool with a temp in the upper 40's and a brisk wind!
But at least the sun was out!
Ed McFadden put his street stock into the wall by the exit in turn 2 during hot laps and did a great deal of damage to the car.
Ed may have suffered a broken finger and broken ankle as well.
Our best wishes for a speedy recovery!
Eric Frazier won the 20 lap Mini Stock feature and $100 over Frank Fairchild, Taylor Oberlin and Pat Knight.
Fairchild won the heat in a close one over Frazier.
Kevin Witmer scored another easy win in the Mini Thunder Cars with a 20 lap feature win over Matt McGee and Dave Smith.
Witmer also won the heat.
The feature win was worth $75 to Witmer.
Larry Cowan crashed in the heat. Larry was fine but the car needs some work. Matt McGee won the 2nd heat.
Al Maurer won the Street Stock heat and feature.
Our sincere hope that is by running on Sundays we can increase car count and fan count!
Drivers have been saying they wanted an area track to run on Sundays and Mottville is now running on Sundays!
