The Wolverine Outlaw Midget Series is proud to announce the up coming purchase of the series by Mike Strevel.
Mike is well known in West Michigan racing circles having been Director of Racing Operations and VP of Sales since 2003 for Berlin Raceway. He has a wealth of experience to offer our series. Mike is also very familiar with open wheel racing. He spent four years with the Auto Value Sprint Series. First as the public relations manager and 2002 and 2003, as General Manager.
He was the Auto Value Track Promoter of the year for 2006 and 2007. Dan Vander Molen, current owner of the WOMS series stated " I feel fortunate to get someone of Mike's experience to run the series. He has the knowledge and experience to take WOMS to the next level. I will continue to be involved in the future of WOMS as a sponsor and driver". Dan feels like Mike is the right man to take over and continue what he has started and grow the series into the future.
With a successful business to guide in this tough economy, Vander Molen has found it difficult to fit in the time necessary to grow the series and welcomes the addition of Mike's energy and experience for the future. For the remainder of the year Mike will become more involved as he is brought up to speed on the current state of the series.
