In response to several driver requests to race earlier in the week, the MCT-SRL has moved to a new night on a new service provider. Beginning on Tuesday, October 20th, we will race on Tuesday Nights. The league remains independent and not aligned with the host site. Craig Bristol is staying on as the League Admin.
Most of what drivers have come to expect about the MCT-SRL will remain unchanged. There is still no fee for running in any MCT-SRL races. The previously published race schedule remains intact, (other than changing nights) and the track will be open for practice at 8:00 PM Eastern with qualifying at 9:00 PM. Also, all stats for previous races will be available to drivers again within the next few days. Drivers can keep their same numbers, or change them if they wish. As before, numbers are issued on a first come, first served basis.
Moving to the new service provider will give our league some added functionality that many Sim-Racers are already familiar with, such as the use of the entire RaceLM tool suite, including CFM and RLMArena. Available now, but still under construction, is a new web site for MCT-SRL drivers.
The move to the new server will require drivers to register on the new host and upload their cars. The instructions for doing this, as well as the new server addresses, can be found by visiting the league’s new driver web site.
We all owe a big MCT-SRL “THANK YOU” to Ben Schmidt and all the folks at Blazin’ Pedals On-line Racing League for giving the Michigan Short Track series a place to run for the past seven months. The MCT-SRL wouldn’t be what it is now without their help and support. You can visit them by going to http://blazinpedals.com
