Short Track Racing in the winter time just got a little more exciting as the Grand Rapids Arena Racing Series has decided to add Quarter Midgets to the 2010 schedule starting on January 9th.
The series has invited the Lansing-based Capitol Quarter Midget Association to participate in a night with the Arena cars, and it will be one of five visits for the club the remainder of the season. The remaining dates have yet to be solidified.
“We are going to run a Quarter Midget series, along with our series,” DeltaPlex owner Joel Langlois said. “We are inviting a particular club out of Lansing, and we are going to run five classes of Quarter Midgets. We think it will bring more spectators, and obviously, a lot more participants.
