The Marc Times Racing News & Midwest Racing Scene is very sadden to announce the passing of Ron Schultz.
Ron presided over Dick's funeral last February and was in great spirits as he gave a strong memorial service.
Mr. Schultz's "Another View" was a staple of the Marc Times Racing News for decades. He was a scorer and before that a flag person at several tracks including New Paris, South Bend, Plymouth, Mottville, Angola.
I met Ron for the first time at Dick's funeral, he was very warm and engaging. Over the next year, we spoke many times at New Paris Speedway where he worked in the tower. Each time he told me a new story about something he and Dick had done at this Dealer's Choice or that Dealer's Choice.
He very quickly became one of my favorite people to visit with.
Ron was very well liked in the racing community, he was a genuinely nice guy and a real character to boot.
He is already missed and will be for a long time to come.
Godspeed Ron.
Update - Funeral Services will be held on Wednesday, April 7th, at 1pm in White Pigeon at Farrand Funeral Home. 300 N Kalamazoo St, White Pigeon, MI 49099
